Wintegra is a fabless semiconductor company that enables communications infrastructure equipment providers to migrate their product lines toward the next generation of access networks with a family of single chip solutions. Its WinPath access packet processor family offers best in class aspects of ASICs, network processors, communications processors, and communications peripherals, creating a new approach to protocol handling.
Wintegra was founded in 2000 by Kobi Ben-Zvi and Robert O’Dell. The company was acquired in 2010 by PMC-Sierra for a total consideration of $300 million. PMC (Nasdaq: PMCS) was acquired my Microsemi (Nasdaq: MSCC) in 2016.
