Yael joined Viola Ventures in March 2019 as a Principal, and was promoted to Partner in Jan 2022.

Yael “lives & breathes” entrepreneurship and startups for over a decade and has been a true contributor to the Israeli tech ecosystem, as mentor and advisor to many early-stage entrepreneurs.

In 2018 she founded and led a pitch competition for female entrepreneurs, to support her commitment to encouraging more women founders in Israel.

Yael has led Viola’s investments in the digital health space among other investments and currently serves on the board of Lin Health, Spott, Sorbet and Syte.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Prior to joining Viola, Yael spent 5 years at Signals Analytics, where she led a team that developed and designed data analytics products for Marketing, Strategy and Product Innovation. She worked with large-scale accounts for Fortune 500 companies in the CPG, Food & Beverages and Healthcare industries. Before that, Yael held several roles in IT, web development and technical support.

THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YAEL

Yael completed a M.Sc. in Molecular Biology at the Weizmann Institute, and a B.Sc. in Biotechnology, Magna Cum Laude, from Tel Aviv University. Her thesis in the Weiznmann Institute focused on the connection between cancer genetics and stem cells and included a few months project at Columbia University.

Her grandmother was Thai, so obviously Thailand is her favorite place in the world!

She LOVES to travel and has visited more than 30 countries
